The 2011-2012 goal for First Baptist Church of De Queen is $15,000

To date, we have raised $11,327.00.

On January 28th, we gave out 104 sacks, 2,496 pounds of groceries. We were able to feed 306 people, 15 of them being new. This Food Closet cost $1,770.33 and there is still $3,149.72 in the account.

The next Food Closet will be February 25th. We are so thankful for those who continue to pray for this ministry and continue to give financially to this ministry. We thank all who came on Thursday and Saturday to help. We had 3 new people who came and helped us.

But, this revival was unlike any we had ever done before. That’s because this revival was planned, scheduled, set-up, and ran by the students of Torch Student Ministries with very little adult participation. Four girls took the lead on this project and the rest of the student body got to work. They did everything it took to put on a revival, including designing the logo, scheduling speakers, finding housing and booking musicians.  The revival took months of planning and a lot of hard work, but it was a success. We were featured in the Arkansas Baptist News. We give God all the glory and can’t wait to get started planning next year’s.
